A state of the art 51-acre development essential for satisfying the long-term waste disposal needs of Vermonters.


Overview

The only current operating disposal facility in Vermont. The Coventry landfill is a well-run facility with highly engineered systems and an excellent compliance record in accordance with all local, State and federal regulations. As one of the highest regulated facilities in the State, the Coventry landfill successfully operates at an optimal level as evidenced by thousands of air and water quality tests and numerous inspections passed each year. Additionally, the site serves as a renewable energy park by creating enough electricity to power 8,500 Vermont homes using both landfill gas-to-energy and solar power.

Collection days will be held at the; New England Waste Services of Vermont, Inc. landfill on Airport Road in Coventry and if FREE and open to the residents of Newport City, Coventry, Barton, & Lowell. Proof of residency will be required.
